Yuvraj Singh - "The Test of My Life -from Cricket to Cancer and Back" - A Short Review

Hi,
I think it is good to write what you learn from a book for yourself so, keeping this idea in mind here is the next book which I completed today itself on 12-12-2013.

A brief review
Book Title: Test of my life: From Cricket to Cancer and Back.
Author:  Yuvraj Singh
Publisher: Random House India/ Ebury press
ISBN: 818400298X

Pages: 216

Yuvraj Singh( popularly known as "Yuvi")  born on 12 December 1981, is a well known  Indian Cricketer who was the man of match in the ICC world cup 2011 when India became world champion twice after 1983.
While holding the world cup in his hands he was not aware of the fact that he was having a big lump of cancer in between his lungs which was pressing the artery which carries blood and if it was stopped everybody know what would happen.
He is loved and respected by each and everyone and after he gets back from his fight with the Cancer he has more of it.  He is also known for hitting six sixes in six balls of a over in  T20 world cup 2007 against England in South Africa.

He was diagnosed with Cancer, and he fought it to come back to Cricket. He wrote his story about his fight with the cancer, and then coming back to Cricket. He was in denial for many months while he was playing the world cup and internally he always denied it even up the cure. Amazing thing he writes in the book is that he was in denial of any Cancer at all.

He is totally original in this book, and writes his heart in no matter if it is about the Indian fans or his own mother and father or about all his friends from the Indian team whom he dearly loved or Mr. Paroon Chadda(I can't forget him now). He was with Dr. Einhorn in Indianapolis and those days were toughest and also most important days for him.

I am not an emotional person but I swear that I was into tears while reading about his days in the Indianapolis. He is a really brave person to remember all that and then to write everything down in this book.

What he wrote about his mother makes me to have a huge respect for her. He loves his mother more than anyone in this world and I can bet on this. So does his mother, I have a huge respect for his mother and I wish that everyone get a mother like Yuvi's mother.

It is an inspirational book which can give a boost to your own confidence and a zeal to live longer and fight back for the Cancer suffering  people. I was happy to know that after coming back from Indianapolis he worked hard and was very soon selected back in the team and everybody knows that he is still in there.

He has started a charity organisation known as "YOUWECAN" which he formed to run the diagnosis of the people in the different parts of the country. He understands what Cancer is and has a idea to help the people who suffer from it.

After all that is what a human being having empathy, love and respect would do and should do. Being human one must help other human beings in what ever manner you can and Yuvi is one of the incredible human beings on this earth.

Lastly, if ever Yuvi  reads this article," A BIG THANKS to you, for living your life and then writing this book. I have wept after such a long time, I don't remember the last time I felt tears. Please forgive me for any mistake I make in this post because I am six years younger to you."
